Yes He Is
Brand Film Voiceover Script written for Avenir Creative House
Aren’t we all tired of living through historical events? Numbed by the emotion and show of it all. A world so polarised and divided in its defence. Of ideals and lies and politics. Calling out the smoke and mirrors and egoistic intent.
Who are you calling when you cannot speak at all? Is your hand aching from the nothing that you hold? No way to disconnect and lost as to how to relate. Your life painted with the colour of rain.
We are not alone in your loneliness. Has humanity lost sense of what it means to be each other’s keeper?
Wondering if the worlds we enter and the words we speak will ever be enough. No structure or traditions, are we lost on this highway of pixels and opinions?
And sadly, there is no voice in whatever accent you choose, to tell us the meaning of life, what is truth or simply sensational news.
Who can nullify the penalty of wrong? Could it be found in the identity of a single one? A salvation story anchored in a resurrection. Where the war within yourself is won by someone else’s blood. Faith in an event and ultimately the person… this person… Jesus.
“For God so loved the world”. A messiah of compassion. An advocate for justice. Was He just in saving you? A sacrifice that happened once but plays out every single day. And in the dark of the world is He the light? This promised inception.
Yes, He is!
But then how do we live lives defined by the gift instead of the gain? Moving beyond the paralysis of shame.
Is it down in surrender where our deepest need is met? In prayer and stillness. Reconciled to our maker. A spiritual reset. Connected to the source of all love and all peace.
And we emanate His light. Could this reflection empower a genuine connection? Not self-righteous for we all fall short. And no offence because of the name Jesus. But imagine an extension of kindness and conversation.
A natural response to this grace. None of it is in vain. This generosity rooted in gentle speech and open hands. How counter the culture. And as we begin to pay attention, we may just find each other.
